This video was produced in 2002 provides a "working knowledge" of the technical aspects, plus the welder skills necessary for using the Gas Metal Arc Welding process, commonly referred to as mig welding (solid wire with an externally furnished shielding gas). This process has been used in industry for a long time, but with the development of smaller, less expensive welding machines, it is becoming widespread in home shops because of its ease of operation. Steve also covers safety concerns inherent with all welding procedures. The tape runs 45 minutes.
